¿Habéis estado alguna vez en Benalmádena Pueblo?

Allí tenemos un templo budista.

Es el más grande de Europa Occidental. Se le llama "Estupa de la Iluminación de Benalmádena".

There we have a Buddhist Temple.

En Agosto empezarán las fiestas de Benalmádena Pueblo y ya están trasladando los tronos para la romería.

Yo no sé mucho de esto. Me pilló ayer de sorpresa. Así que hicieron un pequeño ritual para que el trono de la Virgen de la Peña estuviera en su lugar de partida cuando empiece la Romería.

Aquí algunas fotos.

The celebrations of Benalmádena Pueblo will start in August and the people are transferring the thrones for the Romeria.

I do not understand much about it. Yesterday, this was a surprise for me. But this ritual is neccesary because the virgin has to be prepared in the place of departure for the Romeria.

For the Romería

Hay muchas romerías en España. La más conocida es la Romería del Rocío en Almonte, Huelva. Yo he estado un par de veces y es realmente algo bonito.

La romería de mi pueblo en Benalmádena es pequeña y dura sólo un día. He podido contar hasta 3 carros o carrozas. En el primer carro llevan a la virgen - es la Virgen de la Cruz (antes puse Virgen de la Peña, pero es un error http://espanja.org/node/8860#comment-41539).

En la romería todos van hacía la ermita que suele estar alejada del pueblo para visitar y adorar a la virgen. En este caso los romeros o peregrinos siguen a la virgen en su viaje hacia su casa, la ermita. Es por eso que la virgen va en la primera carroza.

Como esto es Andalucía, la cuna del flamenco, pues los peregrinos van con sus trajes típicos acompañados de música religiosa, pero también flamenca.

Hasta donde yo sé, la palabra Romería es latina y viene de Roma.

Bueno, y ya que uno llega a la ermita pues a comer, cantar y bailar. Es muy bueno para estar en familia.

Well, when you arrive to the hermitage, you can stay there the whole day and enjoy the music and food, etc etc. It is beautiful to be in family.

During this days you have free chocolate every morning at 11 am and in different places also wine and tipical dishes like paella etc.

I have to say that I have missed all this tastes, always because I was too late or I did not know or whatever ...

Maybe because I was to busy taking pictures ... hehehe!!!!
